Schuylkill County is mainly a rural area with distance between communities. Our agency is committed to reaching as many individuals as possible through a free service called the Outreach Program.
This is why we have office hours in Tamaqua and Mahanoy City to complement our main office in Pottsville.
The office hours available in Tamaqua and Mahanoy City offer the same services provided in our main office. Case managers at these sites are available to those who qualify. Call our main office to find out when a case manager will be at these sites.
The FIRST contact for people in need of human services…
The Outreach program actively seeks opportunities to inform the county of our services. A case manager is available to present at any event upon request. So, if your group or event is looking for a speaker, feel free to contact us, and we’ll make sure one is provided. Informational presentations are available to civic organizations, human service agencies, and community groups.
This program is intended to provide comprehensive information regarding human services throughout Schuylkill County while facilitating access to those services. Follow-up services are also provided. This service is currently operating in Tamaqua, Mahanoy City, and Shenandoah.
