Notice is hereby given by that the Schuylkill County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on June 9, 2021 at 1:00 P.M in the Commissioners Board Room, 401 N. 2nd St. Pottsville, PA 17901. This meeting is accessible to persons with disabilities and/or persons with limited English proficiency.  If you wish to attend and require special accommodations, please notify Gary Bender, Schuylkill County Administrator, 570-628-1222 or gbender@co.schuylkill.pa.us.  TDD users 7-1-1 PA Telecommunications Relay Center. Eligible activities under this program include:

  • Street Outreach
  • Emergency Shelter
  • Homeless Prevention
  • Rapid Re-Housing

Additional information on the program is available for public inspection at the Courthouse, 401 N. 2ndStreet, Pottsville, PA 17901 in the Office of the Administrator.

All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearing and give oral testimony at the Public hearing or present written comments concerning the needs of the homeless or those at risk of homelessness.  Comments may be submitted to the Schuylkill County Administrator, Court House, 401 N. 2nd St., Pottsville, PA 17901 or gbender@co.schuylkill.pa.us by June 15, 2021.

Emergency Rental Assistance Program

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) was created as an emergency response to the COVID-19 health pandemic to provide rental and utility assistance to assist households that have been directly or indirectly financially impacted by COVID-19.



SCA provides a variety of services for individuals, such as housing, nutrition, finances, utilities, weatherization, and more.
