Schuylkill Food Network Internship

College credits will be available for interns affiliated with a college program.

This is an unpaid internship. 

Requirements Include:  Current criminal background check and child abuse clearance must be provided.

Duties: Assist in implementing SCA policy at food pantries. Marketing of the Schuylkill Food Network. Determining recipient eligibility and logging food pantry points of service on a written check list and enters them into an electronic tracking form. Keep client and volunteer data up to date, organized and ready for distributions. Development and distribution of printed materials. Volunteer hours tracking, background checks and Civil Rights training logs. Promotion of customer service at pantries including client contact with referrals to clients. Stock monitoring from various product sources, placement, amounts and expiration date monitoring. Assist volunteers with food packing. Volunteer promotion and volunteer assistance with regional food bank ordering. The Emergency Food Assistance Program and the State Food Purchase Program activities including compliance monitoring, deliveries, inventory, packing strategy and budgeting. Food distribution at pantry drive thru monitors the loading of cars and packing items at the curb.
